Born in Bertie County and raised with six siblings, she learned the value of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance. She earned a B.S. in Criminology & Criminal Justice and served for 28 years in the Bertie County School System.
Bazemore was elected to the Bertie County Board of Commissioners in 2014 where she earned her way to chairman four years later. She was appointed by Governor Cooper as a Trustee for Roanoke Chowan Community College and continues to serve on several state and national boards (see below).
Today, Ms. Bazemore seeks to serve as your voice at the State Capital -- a voice that echoes your concerns -- a voice that matters -- a voice that cares.
